Adoptable Dogs

Welcome to our dog adoption page—where second chances turn into forever homes 🐾

Every dog in our care has been loved, nurtured, and fully prepared to start their next chapter with you.

Our adoption fees are $550 for dogs under 18 months and $450 for adult dogs over 18 months. Senior dog adoption fees are case by case, as we strive to place our seniors in the very best homes with flexibility and care.

All of our dogs come fully vetted before adoption. This includes rabies, all three rounds of distemper, Bordetella, spay/neuter, microchip, and monthly deworming while in our care. When you bring your new family member home, you can focus on bonding, love, and helping them settle in—without worrying about routine vet appointments or unexpected medical to-dos (aside from emergencies, of course).

By adopting, you’re not just gaining a loyal companion—you’re giving a deserving dog the fresh start they’ve been waiting for. We can’t wait to help you find your perfect match. 💛🐶

Bandit

Meet our handsome Blue Heeler boy!

Born in May 2025, this smart, energetic male Blue Heeler is everything you’d expect from the breed — loyal, social, and always ready for a job.

He’s a very people-friendly pup who loves being around others and thrives on interaction. He has a strong herding instinct and a naturally confident, dominant personality, so he does best with structure, leadership, and clear boundaries. He’s good with other dogs, but true to his breed, he may try to herd them during play.

When it comes to cats, he’s not currently cat-savvy. He doesn’t want to hurt them, but he does instinctively chase and catch, so a cat-free home is ideal. With consistent training and time, improvement is possible, but adopters should be prepared to actively work on this.

He is okay with children, though we feel he would thrive best in a home with older kids who understand dog boundaries and won’t encourage herding behaviors.

This boy would be an excellent match for an active home — someone familiar with herding breeds, committed to training, and ready to give him both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He’s smart, driven, and full of potential for the right family.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to learn and loves being part of the action, this Blue Heeler might just be your perfect fit 💙

Whisper

Meet Whisper 🐾

📍 1-year-old Red Heeler | ~30 lbs fully grown

Whisper is a sweet, timid young female Heeler with the softest soul to match her name. At just around a year old, she’s already showing what a gentle, well-mannered companion she’s going to be. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her loving and affectionate personality shines through.

Whisper is wonderful with kids, dogs, and cats, making her an easy addition to a variety of homes. She’s very petite for a cattle dog and is expected to be around 30 lbs fully grown. Unlike many Heelers, Whisper is surprisingly calm and easygoing, happy to lounge with her people just as much as she enjoys getting out for adventures.

Because of her submissive nature, Whisper would not be suited for working cattle or high-pressure herding environments. However, she would absolutely thrive as a companion dog, family pet, or even an agility or fun sport prospect, where she can build confidence and bond closely with her handler.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal, and sweet-natured pup who will be your shadow and best friend, Whisper may be the perfect match. 🐶💕

Chirp

✨ Meet Chirp ✨
📍 1-year-old Red Heeler | ~30 lbs fully grown

Chirp is the quieter sparkle to her sister Whisper’s glow — a one-year-old red heeler girl who’s a touch more confident, but still sweetly timid at heart. Petite and delicate, we expect Chirp to top out around 30 pounds, making her the perfect medium-small companion pup.

While she can be shy at first, Chirp doesn’t take long to warm up. Once she knows you, she’s all about her people and truly thrives on companionship. She’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest just being near those she trusts. 💕

✅ Great with kids
✅ Great with cats
✅ Great with other dogs

Chirp isn’t what we’d consider a traditional cattle dog working prospect, but don’t let that fool you — she’s smart, athletic, and eager to please. She would likely excel in agility or any activity that builds confidence, or she’d be just as content being a loving, loyal best friend.

Like many young heelers, she does have energy, but she’s surprisingly calm and soft-natured for a red heeler puppy. She’s currently a little underweight, but she’s gaining beautifully, and we’re already seeing her blossom more each day. We don’t anticipate any future concerns there.

All around, Chirp is an absolutely amazing dog with a gentle soul, waiting for a patient, loving home to help her continue to shine. 🐾💛

If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will bond deeply and grow alongside you, Chirp just might be your girl.

Mocha
(pending behavioral assessment)

Meet Mocha – Your Future Little Shadow 🤍

Mocha is a four-year-old Havanese cross with the sweetest soul and the softest little presence. Weighing in at about 20 pounds, he’s the perfect small companion — not too tiny, not too big — just right for couch cuddles and following you from room to room.

This handsome little man has just come into care, so we’re still getting to know all the wonderful layers of his personality. He is currently on a behavioral assessment hold while we learn more about him and set him up for the best possible success. We anticipate he may be ready for adoption in about two weeks, but for now, we’re taking the time to truly understand what kind of home will help him thrive.

Here’s what we know so far:

• 🐾 Good with cats
• 🐶 Okay with other dogs (slow introductions recommended)
• 👶 Currently recommending a home without children while we continue assessing
• 🏠 Kennel trained
• 💉 Neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped

Mocha is a snuggly, affectionate little guy who prefers to be right beside his person — whether that’s curled up on the couch, resting at your feet, or quietly soaking in all the love you have to offer. He bonds closely and seems happiest when he’s near his humans.

As we continue to learn more about Mocha over the next couple of weeks, we’ll share updates about what kind of forever home would suit him best. For now, we can confidently say he is gentle, loving, and ready for a fresh start when the time comes.

If you think Mocha might be the companion you’ve been waiting for, stay tuned — his forever chapter is just around the corner. 🐾✨

Holds/
Pending Adoption

and
Furever Fosters

Medical Hold / Foster-to-Adopt Animals

These animals are typically new intakes who are either too young to be spayed/neutered or are still in the adoption process. While they are not yet officially available, you are welcome to apply in advance for adoption once they are cleared—or in the event their current adoption placement does not move forward.

Applicants who are willing to foster during the medical hold period will receive priority consideration for adoption.

*Foster-to-Adopt Note:
A foster-to-adopt placement requires a deposit equal to the adoption fee, with the remaining balance due once the animal is medically cleared and the final adoption contracts are signed.

Furever Fosters

Furever Fosters are animals who, for a variety of reasons, cannot be safely adopted out but are able to live happy, enriched lives in long-term care. These animals often have special needs or ongoing medical or behavioral requirements that are best met in a dedicated foster or sanctuary-style setting.

We kindly ask you to consider donating toward the ongoing care of our Furever animals. Your support helps ensure their medical, dietary, and environmental needs continue to be fully met—giving them the comfort, dignity, and love they deserve.

Angel

✨ Meet Angel — Our Forever Foster ✨

Angel is one of those dogs who quietly changes you forever.

When she came into Little Bit of Luck Rescue, it quickly became clear that her needs were very special. Because of her past, Angel required time, structure, patience, and deep understanding. After eight months of hard work, training, and commitment, we were finally able to help her adjust and safely live within our pack — a huge milestone and one we are incredibly proud of.

While Angel has made amazing progress, we know that the world outside our rescue environment would not always be able to meet her needs safely. She can struggle with reading situations and expressing big emotions, and if her cues are missed or misunderstood, she can react in ways that could be unsafe for other animals or families who aren’t experienced with dogs like her.

Because of that, we’ve made the decision that is truly best for Angel:
She will remain a permanent foster with the rescue.

Angel will stay with me, where she is understood, respected, and supported every single day. She will always be a cherished member of the Little Bit of Luck Rescue family, receiving the care, stability, and love she deserves — without being put in situations that could set her up to fail.

She is not available for adoption, but she is home.
Forever safe. Forever loved. Forever one of ours. 🐾💛

Thank you for loving and supporting dogs like Angel — the ones who remind us that rescue isn’t always about adoption, but always about doing what’s right.
