Mayzie’s Happily Ever After 💛
Some stories just feel meant to be — and Mayzie’s is one of them.
When Mayzie first came into care, she was labelled as “anxious.” But as we got to know her, it became clear that wasn’t truly who she was. What looked like anxiety was really a little girl who didn’t feel heard or understood. It wasn’t her fault — it was simply a consequence of circumstance. And once someone took the time to listen, guide, and reassure her, everything changed.
With patience, consistency, and love, Mayzie’s true personality began to shine. Her confidence grew brighter each day. She blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and playful little companion who simply needed the right environment to feel safe and secure.
We are beyond thrilled to share that Mayzie has found her furever happily ever after with a wonderful asset and trusted friend within the rescue community. She now has an incredible home that understands her heart — and as an added bonus, she has another small dog to snuggle up with and play alongside. The companionship, the comfort, the shared zoomies… it’s everything she deserved.

Beeker
Beakers and Sirius Black found their way into the most amazing home—together, just as it was meant to be. These two barn buddies came to us unsure of the world, unaware of what safety truly looked like, and frightened of nearly everything around them. But through it all, they had each other.
In the end, they landed in a place where they could continue being one another’s emotional support—a quiet, calm environment with people who understand and love them exactly as they are. They have the perfect setup: shelter and safety, with access to the outdoors where they can run, play, and mouse to their hearts’ content all day long.
For barn buddies, they truly hit the jackpot. Knowing they were able to stay together makes this placement extra special. Some of my favorite moments were watching them on camera, playing and interacting throughout the day—moments you’d never see in person because they were simply too afraid of humans. But even then, you could see it: that gentle, playful, loving nature was always there.
Sending Beakers and Sirius Black home together was absolutely the best outcome possible, and I couldn’t be happier for them. 🖤🐈⬛🐈
Serius Black
Serius Black’s journey was a quiet one, filled with watchful eyes and cautious steps. He came to us as a barn buddy who wasn’t sure what to make of the world around him, keeping his distance and observing from the safety of the shadows. Humans were intimidating, and trust didn’t come easily—but that didn’t mean Serius lacked heart.
What Serius did have was a gentle, playful spirit that came out when he thought no one was watching. Through the cameras, we’d catch glimpses of the real him—darting through space, engaging in games with Beaker and the other cats, and showing off a side of himself that fear kept hidden in person. Those moments told us everything we needed to know: Serius was meant for a peaceful, understanding environment where he could simply be.
That’s exactly what he found. Serius Black is now in a calm, quiet home with the perfect balance of safety and freedom—shelter and love paired with outdoor access where he can run, explore, and mouse to his heart’s content. He’s surrounded by people who respect his boundaries and value him for who he is, not who they want him to be.
For a barn buddy like Serius, this is the dream. Watching him step into a life that suits him so perfectly reminds us why patience and compassion matter so much. Sirius Black didn’t just find a home—he found peace. ✨🖤
Diesel
Diesel was the sweetest little love bug to ever come through our doors. He came to us from an incredibly loving family who were absolutely heartbroken to say goodbye, but ultimately made the selfless decision to do what was best for him when his needs could no longer be met.
From there, Diesel found his perfect match — a phenomenal home with another animal companion, an older dog who fit him like a puzzle piece. The resemblance was uncanny, almost like fate had a hand in it, right down to the shorter hair.
Now Diesel has a new mom who is completely devoted to him and a cozy, quaint little town to call home. Every piece fell into place, and it truly was a match made in heaven. Stories like Diesel’s are exactly why we do what we do. 💛
Hawk
Hawk’s Happy Ending
Hawk has officially landed the perfect forever home. He’s joining a loving family with another cat, and even more special, they’re close family friends of the amazing people who helped save the Five Little Birds. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better place for him.
His new family understands that Hawk came into care with some medical needs and is still healing, and they’ve opened their hearts (and adjusted their lives) to make sure he has everything he needs to thrive. That kind of compassion tells us everything we need to know—he’s truly in the best hands.
This little bird will never again know uncertainty. Hawk now knows love, kindness, a full belly, and the comfort of a safe home. He will never worry about tomorrow, and he will never be alone again. We are beyond happy to celebrate yet another beautiful success story—Hawk is home, forever. 🐾💛

From a frightened little kitten to a confident, cherished companion — Spook’s journey has been nothing short of heartwarming.
When Spook first arrived into our care, he was a timid, unsure little soul. The world felt big and overwhelming, and he preferred to watch it from a safe distance. The once-scared kitten grew into an affectionate, curious, and truly amazing cat.
Today, we are overjoyed to celebrate Spook’s adoption into a beautiful family with three young girls who are beyond excited to love and spoil him for all his days. He now has built-in best friends, endless cuddles, and a home filled with laughter — exactly what every kitten deserves.

Sparrow
Sparrow’s Journey: A Little Cat with a Big Heart
Some animals leave a mark on your heart long before they find their forever home, and Sparrow is one of those special cats.
Sparrow was part of our world for nearly six months. During that time, we watched her show just how sweet, loving, and resilient she truly is. While we hoped we would be able to see her through every step of her journey, including the surgery she desperately needed, we weren’t able to provide the leg amputation she required.
Thankfully, Sparrow’s story didn’t end there.
She was transferred to Edmonton Cold Weather Animal Rescue, where they were able to give her the medical care and support she needed, including her successful leg amputation. We are so grateful that she found her way into their care and that she now has the opportunity to continue healing, thriving, and waiting for the family she deserves.
Although Sparrow may not have been adopted through us, she was absolutely a part of our rescue family. Nearly six months of love, care, and memories mean she will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we believe she deserves to be celebrated here.

Remembering Falcon
Some stories are not the endings we wish we could share, but every life deserves to be remembered.
Falcon was one of five tiny kittens who came into our care after being abandoned on a cold winter road, left with no hope in sight. He arrived needing love, patience, and someone to show him that he mattered.
From the moment he entered our care, Falcon was surrounded by compassion. He was cared for, protected, and loved unconditionally. Over the following six months, he grew from a frightened little bird into a sweet, affectionate cat who knew what it meant to be safe.
Falcon was finally ready for the next chapter of his life. He had a family waiting for him and was so close to the forever home he deserved. Unfortunately, before he could begin that new journey, he slipped away from home and tragically passed away.
Although this is not the success story we hoped to share, Falcon’s story is still one of love and hope.
Because Falcon was not left behind on that winter road. He was found. He was given a chance. He experienced kindness, comfort, and a place where he belonged.
For six beautiful months, Falcon was surrounded by people who loved him. He knew warmth. He knew safety. He knew he mattered.
His time with us was far too short, but his impact will last forever.
Fly high, little bird. You were loved. You were cared for. You were cherished. And you will never be forgotten.
Bandit's Happy Ever After
Some dogs find their families through adoption events, social media, or chance encounters. Bandit's story unfolded in a way none of us could have predicted, proving that sometimes the perfect match happens when you least expect it.
From the moment Bandit came into our care, he stole hearts with his larger-than-life personality. He was affectionate, incredibly loyal, endlessly entertaining, and never shy about letting everyone know exactly what he wanted. He had a stubborn streak a mile wide, a heart full of love, and enough charisma to make everyone around him smile. Bandit wasn't just another dog in our rescue; he became part of our family.
While in our care, Bandit formed an unmistakable bond with my ex husband who had been spending time with him more and more after the loss of his dog a few years ago. Their connection grew naturally, built on trust, companionship, and mutual respect. As life took its own unexpected turns, it became clear that they belonged together.
Bandit has been adopted into a home where he will be the only dog, exactly what he needed to truly thrive. He will have the one-on-one attention, consistency, and companionship he has always craved. His new dad understands him, appreciates his wonderfully stubborn personality, and loves him for exactly who he is. In many ways, they're perfectly matched, each just determined enough to keep the other on their toes.
Although saying goodbye is never easy, especially to a dog who became such an important part of our lives, our hearts are full knowing that Bandit is exactly where he belongs. We will miss his goofy antics, his unwavering loyalty, and the joy he brought to everyone he met, but there is no greater reward than seeing him start this next chapter. Even though I contemplated keeping him I knew when my husband left Bandit was meant to go with him. It doesn't mean I won't get to see him again just that he wont be here causing havoc every day lol.
Bandit's future is going to be filled with love, adventures, quiet moments with his favorite person, and the security of knowing he is finally home. He has found someone who will cherish him every single day, and that's everything we could have ever hoped for.
Congratulations, Bandit. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. We know your best days are still ahead of you, and we can't wait to hear about all of the adventures that await you.

Chirp has found herself the most wonderful family, complete with a Heeler brother who will help teach her, guide her, and show her the ropes as she continues to navigate life. She has a mom who is going to spoil her rotten, and best of all, she gets to stay right by her side. She'll get to visit the farm, has a kitty friend to share her days with, and has absolutely everything her little heart could ever desire.
We couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect family for this girl. 🥹

💚 Chance’s Second Chance at Life 💚
Some dogs come into rescue and leave with a forever family. Others leave a little piece of themselves behind with you, making it impossible to imagine life without them. Chance, you have been both. ❤️
When Chance came into our care, he had a long road ahead of him. Months of treatment, veterinary appointments, and a medical journey that eventually meant saying goodbye to one of his eyes. It wasn't always easy, but through it all, this boy kept moving forward. And somewhere between the healing, the recovery, and watching his personality emerge, he found his way right into our hearts.
What started as taking in a dog who needed help turned into something much more meaningful. Chance became family.
And while his happily ever after might not be happening under my own roof, it couldn't be happening in a place that means more to me. Chance has found his forever home with someone incredibly close to my heart, which means I don't have to say goodbye completely. I get to visit, see his goofy face, and watch him settle into the life he should have had all along.
Even better, he gets to remain a part of my boy's life. The bond those two formed was something else, and the adventures, mischief, and downright amusing moments they shared are memories we'll always treasure. Knowing that their friendship doesn't have to end makes this adoption that much more special.
For Chance, the hard part is over. No more struggling through the unknown. No more wondering what comes next. Just a home where he is loved, a family who will make him part of everything, and a lifetime of being thoroughly spoiled.
And I have a feeling they're going to have a lot of lost time to make up for. 😉
Chance deserved this. He deserved the comfort, the security, the patience, and the kind of love that makes a dog forget there was ever a time when he didn't have it. His past may have been difficult, but it doesn't get to define the rest of his story.

💚 A Forever Home at the Farm – Chili’s Story 💚
Not every happily ever after looks the same, and for Chili, his is a little closer to home. 🍀
Chili came into our care a scared, frightened boy who wasn't sure he could trust the people around him. He wasn't a companion cat, and the idea of being someone's cuddly house cat was never really his thing. He needed time, patience, and the freedom to figure things out at his own pace.
And slowly, little by little, we made progress.
Eventually, Chili decided that maybe I wasn't so bad after all. He began allowing me to pet him, a small but incredibly meaningful milestone for a cat who once wanted nothing to do with human affection. Those little moments of trust are something I will always treasure. ❤️
But as much as we love seeing cats find traditional forever homes, we also know that isn't what every cat wants or needs.
Chili will be spending the rest of his life here at Little Bit of Luck Rescue as one of my personal barn buddies. This is his home, and this is where he is happiest.
Here, he gets the freedom to be himself. He can explore, enjoy the farm, find his favourite spots, and live life on his own terms. He gets to be safe, cared for, and spoiled rotten without having to become something he's not.
For Chili, happiness isn't about curling up on a couch or being carried around for cuddles. It's about having space, independence, and the comfort of knowing he's exactly where he belongs.
And that's what we're giving him.
He may never be the kind of cat who runs to greet visitors or demands attention, but he has found his place in our little rescue family. He has learned that he can trust me, that he is safe here, and that he will always have a place to call home.
Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give an animal is the freedom to live the life that makes them happiest.

Some bonds are just meant to be, and Dumbledore and Old Man are a perfect example of that. 🐾
When Dumbledore came into our care, we couldn't have known just how important he would become, not only to us, but to another very special soul. Somewhere along the way, he and Old Man formed a bond that went beyond simply sharing a space. They became companions, offering each other comfort, security, and something that can be hard to find in this world: a friend who understands.
For an older boy like Old Man, having Dumbledore by his side makes all the difference. Dumbledore brings him companionship, confidence, and a little extra happiness in his day. Whether they're simply sharing space, enjoying the quiet of the farm, or keeping each other company, there's something truly special about the relationship these two have built. ❤️
And because of that bond, we knew that Dumbledore's happily ever after would be staying right here.
Dumbledore will be spending the rest of his life at Little Bit of Luck Rescue as one of our permanent barn kitties. 🍀
This isn't a case of a cat who couldn't find a home. It's about recognizing that he already has one. He has his familiar surroundings, his freedom, and most importantly, his best friend. Separating these two just wasn't something we were willing to do when we could give them both the life they deserve together.
Dumbledore gets to continue being exactly who he is, with the freedom to explore, enjoy the farm, and settle into his favourite spots. He'll have full bellies, a safe place to call home, and all the love and care he could ever need.
But perhaps the greatest gift we can give him is the chance to keep doing what he does so naturally: being there for Old Man.
There is something incredibly rewarding about watching animals find comfort in one another. We can't explain their bond in words, but we can see what it means to them. And knowing that Old Man has Dumbledore by his side, offering companionship and helping make his world a little brighter, makes keeping them here together an easy decision.
Dumbledore, you're not just staying at the rescue. You're staying with your family. 💚
Your place is here, your best friend is here, and your future is secure. No more changes, no more goodbyes. Just a lifetime of barn adventures, peaceful days, full food bowls, and the companionship of the friend who means so much to you.

💚 A Forever Home for Old Man Kitty 💚
Some animals come into rescue looking for a new beginning, and some come simply hoping for a safe place to spend the rest of their days. For Old Man Kitty, that safe place is right here with us. 🍀
Old Man Kitty has lived a hard life. Years spent surviving on the streets have taken their toll, and when he came into our care, he was an older, tired boy who had clearly seen more than his fair share of hardships. He was scared, uncertain, and not quite sure what to make of this new world he had found himself in.
At first, he was the kind of cat who would rather hide than be seen. Trust didn't come easily, and the idea of becoming someone's companion cat was never something we expected of him.
But with time, patience, and a safe place to land, we've started to see little glimpses of the cat beneath all that fear. He's even begun allowing some gentle pets, and while that might seem like a small thing to some, for a boy like Old Man, it's a pretty big deal. ❤️
Originally, we thought of him as a potential barn buddy. But as we got to know him, it became clear that what he truly needed wasn't another chance at surviving outdoors. He needed security, warmth, and the freedom to simply exist without fear.
Old Man Kitty will be spending the rest of his life here at Little Bit of Luck Rescue as a permanent sanctuary resident.
He may not be the cat who greets visitors at the door or curls up in someone's lap, but he has found comfort in his own way. He has a warm place to sleep, full food and water bowls, other cats around him, and people who care about him without expecting him to be anything other than who he is.
And most importantly, he is safe.
No more struggling to survive another winter. No more wondering where his next meal will come from or whether he'll have somewhere warm to sleep. No more having to face the world all on his own.
Old Man gets to spend his golden years exactly where he belongs, surrounded by care, comfort, and the security he's gone so long without.
We may never know everything this sweet old soul has endured, and he may never become a cuddly house cat. That's okay. He doesn't have to.
Sometimes, love means letting an animal set the boundaries. Sometimes, it means celebrating the smallest steps forward. And sometimes, it means opening your home and your heart to a soul who may never be able to show you love in the ways we traditionally expect.
Old Man Kitty, you're home. And you're safe for the rest of your days. 💚
You don't have to be brave anymore, little man. You don't have to fend for yourself. Just eat, sleep, stay warm, and enjoy the peaceful life you deserve.

From Rescue to Farm Life Forever 🐾
Almost a full year. That's how long our sweet Violet waited for her person to come along. And now, after all that time, we can finally say she has found her happily ever after! 🍀
Sometimes, the right home takes a little longer to find, but when it finally comes along, it makes all that waiting worthwhile. For Violet, that home came in the form of a wonderful young man who saw something special in her and was ready to give her the life she deserves.
And what a life it's going to be!
Violet is heading off to farm life, where she'll have the best of both worlds. A warm, cozy home to curl up in when the weather turns chilly, and all the outdoor adventures her little heart could desire. Fields to explore, fresh air to enjoy, and, of course, as many mice to hunt as she could possibly want! 🐭
We have a feeling she's going to take her new job as farm mouse patrol very seriously!
Most importantly, she'll have someone to love her, spoil her rotten, and make sure she always has a safe place to come home to. For a girl who spent nearly a year waiting for her family, knowing she's finally found that kind of security means everything.
Violet's happily ever after might look a little different from the typical house cat's life, but for her, it's absolutely perfect. A farm to call her own, a human who adores her, warm beds, exciting adventures, and a whole world waiting to be explored.
A whole year of waiting, and now a lifetime of love. 💜
